To efficiently and rationally use the country’s water resources and in compliance with the Water Code of Turkmenistan, the President of Turkmenistan has signed an Order approving the limits on water consumption for the country’s velayats and etraps in 2021.
On February 12, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held an extended session of the Cabinet of Ministers, at which the results of the work of the Government for 2020 and January of this year were reviewed, reports of vice-premiers, number of ministers and heads of the regions were presented. Priority issues of the country's social and economic development were also discussed and key tasks for the sectors of the national economy for the current year were outlined.
The President of Turkmenistan has passed an Order announcing S. A. Niyazov etrap, Dashoguz velayat the winner in the competition for the best-performing etrap. In 2020, the etrap showed the best performance in the social, economic and cultural spheres among etraps and etrap towns in the velayats.
