On January 8, a working meeting was held with the Representative of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Turkmenistan at the Ministry of Finance and Economy.

On January 8, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held first session of the Cabinet of Ministers with participation of the heads of administrations of Ashgabat and regions in 2021, which slogan is “Turkmenistan – Home of Peace and Trust”. Priority issues of the state life as well as drafts of some documents have been brought to discussion.

In accordance with the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan, the delegation of our country, headed by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, R. Meredov, visited Kabul (the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan) on January 8-9, 2021 to participate in the 6th meeting of the joint Turkmen-Afghan working group on security issues between Turkmenistan and Afghanistan, as well as to hold political consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution on establishing the Organizing Committee to hold high-level anniversary events.

The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution approving the State Programme on Youth Affairs in Turkmenistan for 2021-2025 as well as the Programme implementation plan.

On January 7, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has received new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Turkmenistan Shin Sung-Chul.

Today, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment Protection hosted a meeting via videoconferencing with representatives of the Foreign Affairs Office of Henan Province, the People’s Republic of China to discuss prospects for establishing mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation with the Province in transport, logistics, trade, and agriculture.

To successfully accomplish the objectives specified in the Turkmenistan National Civil Aviation Development Program for 2012-2030 and to increase cargo volumes, the President of Turkmenistan has signed a Resolution authorizing the Türkmenhowaýollary Agency to conclude a contract with Airbus S.A.S (the French Republic) for the purchase of two A330-200P2F cargo aircrafts.

On January 7, the Ministry of Finance and Economy hosted a video-conference meeting with representatives of the World Bank, also joined by officials of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry.

On January 6, the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the country Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held first session of the State Security Council this year.
