The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution, authorizing the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs to hold the Asian Futsal Championship jointly with the Football Federation of Turkmenistan and the Asian Football Confederation. The Championship will be held at the Martial Arts Sports Complex and the Competitive Sports Complex in the Olympic Village on February 24 – March 10, 2020. In accordance with the document, the committee in charge for the organization of the Championship and its membership are approved.

Turkmenistan observes the Memorial Day when tribute is paid to heroes lost in the battlefields of all wars as well as to the victims of catastrophic Ashgabat earthquake in 1948.

After flower laying ceremony to the monument of Halk Hakydasy Memorial Complex and memorial meal, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov went to the place where the sculpture of the first President of Turkmenistan S. A. Niyazov is located. The Head of the State, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, members of the Government, heads of military and law enforcement agencies, Hyakim of Ashgabat, the Mufti of Turkmenistan paid tribute to the memory of the first President of the country. The flower were laid to the monument and “ayat tovir” prayer were said.

Regula sevenths session of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan of the sixth convocation, during which number of laws and regulatory legal acts has been adopted, took place. Representatives of relative ministries and departments as well as mass media were invited to participate in the session.

For successful implementation of national programme of reforms, enforcement of control of the measures in this direction as well as further enhancement of responsibility of the Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers and heads of administrations for social and economic development of the regions and Ashgabat, the President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution, having appointed the curators of the regions as follows:

First session of the Constitution Commission for development and compilation of proposals on amendments and addendums of the Constitution of Turkmenistan was held after the session of the Cabinet of Ministers.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held extended session of the Cabinet of Ministers where outcomes of work of the branches of national economy for nine months of the year have been summed up, personnel issues have been reviewed and priority objectives for the time remained until new year have been outlined.

By the outcomes of January – September 2019, the growth rate of the GDP is kept on high level of 6.3 percent. According to the results of analysis of the indicators of the ministries and profile departments, the volume of production has increased by 6.9 percent comparing for the same period on 2018.

Turkmen delegation took part in the work of the 74th session of United Nations General Assembly. Vice-premier, Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov informed the Head of the State on the outcomes of working visit to New York at the extended session of the Government on October 4.
