Book of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Turkmenistan – the Heart of the Great Silk Road” gain big popularity not only in our country but also abroad where it has been translated to different languages.

The solemn ceremony of handing the passports to the persons naturalized in Turkmenistan was held in the conference hall of the State Migration Service.

“Congratulate you on the International Day of Older Persons that is widely celebrated in our country, wish you good health, longevity, happy and prosperous life”, said President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, addressing the elders.

Celebration event dedicated to Turkmenistan Independence took place with the participation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the stadium of the Olympic village.

International Ahalteke Equestrian Complex held the races dedicated to the 27th anniversary of the Independence. According to the tradition, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov have paid the visit to the celebration event.

The Independence Day was marked with large and bright celebrations in Turkmenistan. The main square of Turkmen capital met this day in celebration decoration. Thousands of Ashgabat residents, hundreds of guest of the capital from all parts of the country and the world have gathered at the main square on that day. The members of the Government, deputies of the Mejlis, heads of ministries and departments, public organizations, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, ambassadors of our country abroad, representatives on foreign delegations as well as the delegates of the People’s Council gathered on the Central Tribune. Everybody was looking for the start of grandiose celebration action.

State award ceremony of military and law enforcement personnel took place according to the order of President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

At the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, as part of the General Debate, high-level meetings were held on the fight against tuberculosis and on the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) on September 26 and 27.

Central Officer Club of the Ministry of Defence hosted the event on occasion of handover of the Medal of Honour awarded to Berdimuhamed Annayev, the grandfather of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, to specialized military school no. 1 named after Berdimuhamed Annayev.

The capital hosted presentation ceremonies of high state awards and badges on conferring of honoured titles to the best personnel of different branches of national economy, lead workers, staff of the ministries and departments and cultural workers who made big personal contribution to social and economic development of sovereign Turkmenistan and improvement of its international authority.
