The Centre of Non-governmental organizations hosted the presentation of new book of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Worshiping Mother – Worshiping a Sacred Person”. Representatives of government structures, non-governmental organizations, mass media, cultural personnel and art masters, students and youth took part in the event.

After the presentation of new construction projects planned to be built in the capital and in the regions, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov presented the Chairperson of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of military and law enforcement agencies with his new book «Worshipping Mother – Worshipping a Sacred Person» published in Turkmen, English and Russian languages.

In the Takhtabazar etrap of Mary velayat, the grand opening of a modern complex of water treatment facilities erected by the Economic Association ""Aby-Köwser"" took place. New construction with a capacity of 15 thousand cubic meters of drinking water per day is designed to provide high-quality water to the local population.

During the meeting, the parliamentarians will discuss the draft Laws “On the principles of the transport policy of Turkmenistan” and “On the government regulation of agriculture development”. A number of existing laws will be amended and the Ombudsman - commissioner for human rights of Turkmenistan will present the report during the meeting.

Conference hall of Agricultural Complex hosted International scientific and practical conference “Turkmenistan is the Heart of the Great Silk Road and the Place of Ecological Wealth” dedicated to the World Environment Day. It was organized by the State Committee for Natural Protection and Land Resources.

On June 3, Vehicle-free day, the Ecological Monitoring Service of the State Committee for Environment Protection and Land Resources took samples of the air at seven mobile and stationary monitoring units in Ashgabat for analysis of the impact of traffic restriction on the atmosphere. Control samples were taken on the day before, on June 2, which showed the concentration of dust, formaldehyde, phenol and nitrogen dioxide in the air is lower than maximum permissible concentration.

At the instruction of the head of state, the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs held a cycling training at the capital’s multifunctional Ashgabat Stadium on 1 June. Representatives of Guinness World Records proclaimed the event the largest cycling awareness-raising event in the world.

At the session of the Government on May 31, Vice-premier P. Agamyradov informed the head of the State on the programme of international conference “Science, Technology and Innovations” in Ashgabat on June 12 – 13.

International scientific and practical conference and series of educational events are timed to International Environment Day on June 5.
