President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the construction workers of the largest Central Asian Medical Center in Turkmenabat.

Turkmen National Institute for the democracy and Human Rights under the President of Turkmenistan hosted another meeting of Interdepartmental commission for fulfilment of international obligations in human rights and international humanitarian law by Turkmenistan, where the representatives of the Mejlis, number of ministries and branch departments, non-government organizations took part. During the meetings, the outcomes of the work of the Commission for the year 2016 were summed up; the issues related to the main directions of the activity of this structure were discussed.

The President of Turkmenistan has signed a decree on the construction of housing for people with disabilities and people in need of social protection. According to the document, multifamily residential buildings will be erected in Ahal, Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap and Mary welayats and the city of Ashgabat. Hakimliks of the welayats and the capital will conclude appropriate contracts with local construction companies.

During familiarization with the situation at Mary hydro power station, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov spoke with the personnel of the facility and answered the questions.

State education system is replenished by new institutions every year. Only in 2016 Turkmenistan has opened 35 new educational institutions.

This morning, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov together with his colleagues – Mejlis Chairperson, Vice-Premiers, heads of military and law-enforcement authorities – trained in the Metropolitan Olympic Village, and also made fast-speed cross-country race on a sprint car in the Motorsport Centre.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, in existing good tradition, has visited an equestrian complex in the first days of this year. At the time of walking Akhal-Teke horses on the site of the complex, the head of state has received glad tidings – a foal was born.

Around three and half thousand pupils spend winter holidays in 14 children health resorts of Gyokdere. There are 240 children from the capital orphanage «Döwletliler köşgi» and 100 fosters of Balkanabat orphanage.

The residents of Oguzboy settlement in Ruhubelent etrap of Dashoguz Velayat will receive new water pipeleine, which is currently under construction according to the programme for provision of the population with quality drinking water. Realization of combined measures includes replacement of worn equipment and outdated methods of water purification, construction of water pressure facilities, introduction of new methods of control for sanitary, hygienic and ecological requirements.

Turkmen schoolchildren gathered together at the square in front of the Palace of Children and Youth in the Turkmen capital, from where they headed to a beautiful corner of our country - Geokdere settlement for the winter holidays.
