The ceremony of laying flowers to the monument to first President of Turkmenistan S.A. Niyazov, which was erected on the initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, took place in the 10 Years of Independence Park in Ashgabat.

New social facilities, including a four-storey apartment house and Altyn Asyr Shopping Centre of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan were put into operation in the Lebap Velayat administrative centre on the eve of the New Year.

Typical buildings are designed on the basis of constructive solutions of foundations, roofs, floors, and walls. When furnish they use the most modern high-quality construction, thermal insulation materials. Houses are built by order of the Ashgabat Khykimliks of Individual enterprises of «Berk teker» and «Ak tam».

The Avaza national tourism zone hosted a seminar organized by the State Committee for Environment Protection and Land Resources of Turkmenistan jointly with the European Union project “Support to the introduction of Sustainable Development policies – Rational Use of Natural Resources in the Energy-Environment Sectors in Turkmenistan”.

On December 10, not far from the settlement of Bagabat (Ak Bugdai etrap, Akhal velayat), a regular action was held of destroying the narcotic drugs, counterfeit cigarettes and psychotropic substances confiscated in the course of a number of successful operations conducted by the law enforcement bodies in association with military agencies. Organized by the Government of the country, the State Counter Narcotics Coordination Commission under the Cabinet of Ministers, and the Interior Ministry, the event was a tangible evidence of the state’s and society’s readiness to show great resolution in opposing to one of the most dangerous challenges of the present.

On December 10, a grand ceremony of opening new monuments took place in the capital of the country with the participation of the heads of city khyakimlik, representatives of public organisations, numerous townsmen, representatives of young generation of Turkmen citizens.

On December 8, the administrative center of Balkan velayat hosted a grand ceremony of opening a new square with a flagpole for the State Flag of Turkmenistan.

On December 8, the Public Health and Nutrition Center of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service (the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry) hosted a meeting of the Interagency Working Group on “The 2013-2017 National Nutrition Program for the Population of Turkmenistan”.

On December 4, by established tradition, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov together with his grandson devoted the time to the horseback riding outing.

The national Harvest Festival was countrywide celebrated on the last Sunday of November.
