Today, the ceremony of lighting of the main New Year’s tree, which traditionally anticipated the events in honour of arrival of the New Year holiday, has taken place in the Turkmen capital.

The second volume of the book "Hatyra" ("Memory") is dedicated to the glory of the Balkan velayat warriors, who heroically fought in battles for their Motherland in the 1941-1945Great Patriotic War, in memory of those who died on the battlefields, who died from their wounds in hospitals, as well as those who gone missing.

A modern park called “Erkin” was opened Today in the northern part of the Turkmen capital. The project, implemented as a result of the urban development program of Ashgabat, launched under the leadership of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, became a wonderful gift to its residents in the year of the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Motherland and the 140th anniversary of the main city of the state.
