The Mukam Palace of the State Cultural Center has hosted a concert by performing artists to celebrate the 28th anniversary of the country’s independence.

Passport award ceremony to people who were given Turkmenistan citizenship according to the Decree signed by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on September 20 took place in the conference hall of the State Migration Service.

Expressing his gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the highest state decoration - the Title of the Hero of Turkmenistan and the Altyn Aý Medal, Russian space pilot Oleg Kononenko said that this was not just the recognition of his merits. “The award is a symbol of unbreakable bonds with my homeland – my beloved Turkmenistan, Kononenko highlighted. - I am proud to have been born in this wonderful country, which is advancing rapidly and has achieved unprecedented success in its economy, social sector, foreign policy, science, culture, art and sport.

Ashgabat has hosted solemn ceremonies to bestow state awards and honorary title badges on the best specialists in different sectors of the national economy, foremost workers, employees of ministries, agencies and their departments, creative professionals, who have made major personal contributions to promoting the socio-economic development of Turkmenistan and enhancing its international standing.

The capital hosted XXII Conference of Humanitarian Association of Turkmens of the World. representatives of Turkmen diasporas, ethnic Turkmens from other states working in our country as well as delegates from all regions of the country took part in the forum, which was traditionally timed to the Independence Day of Turkmenistan.

The Ministry of Health Protection and Medical Industry hosted the award ceremony of the certificate of the World Health Organization proving the status of National Influenza Centre given to reference virology laboratory of the Centre of Public Health and Nutrition with inclusion to the WHO Global Influenza Surveillance and Response System.

The World Health Organization awarded the status of National Influenza Centre and the membership of the WHO Global System for Influenza Epidemiological Monitoring and Response to National Laboratory of the Centre of Public Health and Nutrition of Turkmenistan (virology department with reference laboratory).

Opening of two high-rise residential buildings in Mir 7/3 district as well as sunflower oil and flour facility is timed to the 28th anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan.

25 years is observed from the day of Turkmenistan’s neutral and legal status in 2020. To dedicate this remarkable event, the Head of the State ordered to organize international conference as well as speeches of our ambassador to foreign countries, in the UN and other international structures.

Opening ceremony of the complex of facilities of «Türkmen alabaý itleri» business entity was held in Ak Bugday etrap, Ahal Velayat. Deputies of the Mejlis, heads of administration of Ahal Velayat, honoured elders, personnel of cultural sphere, students and local residents took part in the opening ceremony of the first in the country facility of this profile.
