Turkmen sportsmen have achieved another success at the large international chess tournament. In the “Khazar Cup” Tournament, held in the city of Rasht (Islamic Republic of Iran), our countrymen won two medals – gold and bronze.

Turkmen sportsmen have achieved remarkable success at the two large international tournaments - at the Sambo World Cup series in Minsk, the capital of the Republic of Belarus and at the International Athletics Tournament in Tehran (Iran). In total, ten medals (3 – gold, 3 – silver and 4 – bronze) replenished the “medal box” of Turkmen sportsmen.

Turkmen sportsmen have achieved notable success at the West Asia Wu-shu Championship held in the city of Zahedan (Islamic Republic of Iran). In the “sanda” discipline (combats) our Wu-shu fighters won two silver and four bronze medals.

A sport school in the village of Yzgant, Akhal velayat hosted the Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship of Turkmenistan. The strongest wrestlers from all regions of the country and Ashgabat took part in the championship.
