Past week at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan 18 transactions were registered.

International Exhibition of Industrial Productions, Equipment and Modern Technologies will be held at the exhibition centre of Trade and Industrial Chamber of January 31 – February 2. At present moment, the applications for participation were submitted by the representatives of foreign companies as well as enterprises and establishments of the ministries and departments of our country and the members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

Saudi Arabia puts considerable amount of investment in the construction of the TAPI gas pipeline. Financial resources for TAPI have been allocated by the Saudi Development Fund due to the agreements reached during the official visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in May 2016, according to Babayev M., the vice premier in charge of the fuel and energy complex.

On last Tuesday, the third container train making rest run along China – Kazakhstan – Turkmenistan – Iran route went from Turkmenistan to Iran via Akyayla railway station. As it was informed earlier, the first test along this route crossed Turkmen – Iranian border on January 8 and the second one few days later on January 12.

Turkmenistan is preparing for the EXPO-2020 Universal Exposition that will be held in Dubai, UAE. As reported by Vice-Premier, O.Gurbannazarov, at the Cabinet session, the Turkmen side has engaged with the EXPO-2020 Organizational Committee to prepare the national exposition to be presented at the global expo that will take place from 20 October 2020 to 10 April 2021 under the slogan “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”.

The laboratory of heat (temperature) of the State Benchmark Center of Turkmenistan successfully passed international accreditation from the Slovak National Accreditation Service (SNAS) of the Slovak Republic and received a corresponding certificate.

At a government meeting on January 12, Deputy Prime Minister Aidogdyev M. reported on the preparations for the commissioning of the glass plant ""Türkmen aýna önümleri"" in Ovadendape of the Akhal velayat erected within the framework of the state program on import substitution.

According to the order of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Turkmenistan delegation made working visit to United Arab Emirates where the meetings with the Government of UAE as well as with the leaders of number of big energy companies, Abu Dhabi Development Fund and Dubai Centre of Development of Islamic Economy were held.
