At the past week-end names of winners of competitions in sports climbing in discipline ""speed climbing"" became known. The tournament organised by the State Sports Committee of Turkmenistan jointly with the khyakimlik of Archabil etrap of the capital, it took place at the climbing wall on the slopes of the Markou in the Kopet Dagh. It is already the second championship for the current year: in spring competitions in this sport in discipline ""lead climbing"" was held.

Athletes of the country’s national kurash team undergo the final training session in one of the most picturesque places in Turkmenistan - Goekdere resort as part of preparation for the Games “Ashgabat 2017”, during which the best wrestlers will be determined.

Within the preparation for the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games the draw was held for the futsal tournament. The national team of Turkmenistan which acts in group ""A"", will compete with teams from Vietnam, Taipei (China), Hong Kong (China) and Solomon Islands. It should be noted that in the «Ashgabat 2017» the futsal tournament is one of the most anticipated ones.

The symbol of the coming large international competitions in Ashgabat was hoisted at the highest mountain crests of Turkmenistan and places of interest of every velayat of the country under the Ascent Project, which was organized by the State News Agency (TDH) and the Executive Committee for preparation of V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.

The Executive Committee for preparation of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games was informed about this. In the Ashgabat Asian Games, a refugee guide will be a delegation head Tegla Lurup – the Olympic champion of Kenya, who is also the Ambassador for the UN project “Sport and Peace”.

Now the national boxing team of Turkmenistan is headed by famous Russian coach, honoured master of sports, an Olympic champion, world and European champion Alexander Borisovich Lebzyak. He officially started to train the national team three and a half month back. But for this short period his trainees, participating in the international tournaments, had time to win seven awards.

With a silver and two bronze medals our sambo wrestlers who performed in Ulyanovsk (Russian Federation) at the Festival of National Sports and Games of CIS countries, returned home.

Nine medals - such is the result of performance of our national team in the youth kurash championship of Asia held in Iran. For the superiority of the Asian part of the continent 110 best wrestlers from 11 countries gathered. Nevertheless, Turkmen athletes, having shown a great skill, won gold, silver and seven bronze medals. In addition - the third total team place among such strong countries in martial arts as the Republic of Korea, Taiwan, India, Vietnam, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon and others.

Our sportsmen won 7 gold, 13 silver and 19 bronze medals at Asian Sport and Combat Sambo Championship in the capital of Uzbekistan.

Eleven medals - two gold, three silver and six bronze medals were gained by Turkmen sportsmen during the Asian sambo and combat sambo championships which pass these days in the capital of Uzbekistan - Tashkent.
