A carbamide plan with an annual capacity of 1,155,000 tons in the town of Garabogaz is preparing to begin testing and commissioning.

On November 2-4, 2017, Ashgabat will host the 22nd international conference and an exhibition entitled Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan-2017. The forum is expected to be attended by field-related specialists from many countries, including representatives of foreign oil and gas companies, sectoral ministries and agencies of some countries, international organizations, and the mass media.

The success of cotton producers is the culmination of dedicated, joint efforts of all agricultural workers and a logical outcome of the wide-ranging agricultural reform. The sustainable use of land and water resources, regional crop specialization in the agroindustrial sector, the gradual introduction of market relations into farming, and a number of other present-day key aspects have been considered from a new angle and clearly specified in the modern agricultural policy of Turkmenistan.

Past week at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan 32 transactions were registered.

8th session of the Caspian Sea Port Authorities commenced its work in Turkmenbashi. During two days, representatives of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan will be discussing cooperation in shipping industry, maritime cargo handling, ensuring navigation security, developing port infrastructures, exchanging logistical information, protecting marine environment of the Caspian and other issues.

An exhibition of economic achievements of Turkmenistan has opened in Ashgabat. Traditionally held ahead of Independence Day, the economic forum offers a special year-end account, which clearly demonstrates achievements in the national economy.

The Turkmen capital hosted an opening of the Turkmen-Chinese Research and Innovation Forum “Innovations, new technologies and issues of their manufacturing application”, organized by the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the P.R.C. Ministry of Science and Technology. Opening of the conference took place in the Center of STA technologies.

The oil and gas sector of Turkmenistan is planning to actively develop new prospective fields. The issue was under discussion at the enlarged session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, which focused on the nine-month state-of-the-economy results of 2017.

Enterprises of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan saw a 36.3 percent increase (from last year) in the output of industrial products in the running year’s January-September period. The production of agricultural and food products in the private sector rose by 42.6 percent.

During the nine months of 2017, construction projects were completed in Turkmenistan at a cost of more than $ 4.5 billion. Vice-Premier D. Amangeldiev (who is in charge of construction, energy and municipal services) released the information at the enlarged Cabinet session.
