VI Congress of Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan takes place at the Mekan Palace in Ashgabat.

Let me extend my congratulations on VI Congress of Magtumguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, which is one of the leading public associations! I am confident that this Congress will be one of important events in social and political life of the country, - the message of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov says.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held working session with participation of Chairman of the Central Bank M. Annadurdiyev and Board Chairman of the State Bank of Foreign Economic Affairs R. Jepbarov where key objectives of the leading credit institutions of the country and issues of financing of the Programme of social and economic development of Turkmenistan in 2019 – 202, the Concept of transit to digital economy, attraction of investments for implementation of the projects in national economy have been discussed.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a videoconference meeting with the participation of Khyakims of Velayats and Ashgabat.

The Concept of development of digital economy in 2019 – 2025 developed at the request of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is aimed at the enhancement of efficiency of operation of the branches of national economy and social sphere of the country through wide implementation of computer technologies. Today, active work for implementation of the Concept is expanded in all key directions.

For further development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Resolution, having approved the composition of Intergovernmental Turkmen – Azeri Commission for economic cooperation from Turkmen side.

At the session of the Cabinet of Ministers on September 6, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov approved and signed the Law on Cyber Security, which is aimed at protection of sovereignty, interests of the country, prevention of threats to network security as well as provision of public order, legal rights and interests of organizations and citizens.

International basketball tournament FIBA 3x3 Asia Quest 2019 Final with participation of 64 sportsmen from 16 countries including Turkmenistan national team was held in Male (The Republic of Maldives)on September 6 – 8.

Turkmen wrestlers won 9 medals in the final days of competitions at the World Martial Arts Games, which united more than 4,000 sportsmen from 100 countries, in Chungju, the Republic of Korea.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Decree on awarding honorary titles to workers of culture and arts in honour of the 28th anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan for their special contribution to the development of the national theatrical art and cinematography, music, journalism, for the great services to the state and people:
