Speaking at the Halk Maslahaty meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the parliament is a special branch of state power, an integral instrument for establishing people's democracy in the political, economic and social life of the country. Formation of a qualitatively new bicameral structure of the National Parliament will create favorable conditions for strengthening the legal basis for the development of our independent country and increasing the effectiveness of work of state authorities.

“From the first days of the spread of COVID-19, our country has organized the work to ensure provision of basic medical supplies free of charge. All necessary measures are taken to improve the immune status of people. The government adopted the plan to ensure preparedness for counteraction and response to this acute infectious disease. The Plan of operational socio-economic measures to counter the pandemic was also approved”, said President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov speaking during Halk Maslahaty meeting.

Speaking at the meeting of the Halk Maslahaty, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the favorable geographic location of our country opened up wide opportunities for creating a competitive transport macrostructure. Currently, sea, road, rail, air and pipeline international logistics projects are implemented. The agreements reached on the transport corridors Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Iran-Oman and Afghanistan-Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey will contribute to enhancing cooperation within the regions and the continent.

Speaking at a meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the spread of coronavirus infection had a negative impact on the economies of all states. Nevertheless, despite the difficult financial and economic conditions in the world, Turkmenistan has achieved sustainable development of its economy, and kept significant amounts of financial resources in reserve.

President of Turkmenistan, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov opened the videoconference meeting of the national forum and congratulated the participants of the meeting and, in their person, the people of the country on this important event, as well as on the 29th anniversary of the independence of the Motherland.

For successful implementation of the State Health Program, assertion of the principles of healthy life style in the society, improvement of provision of the population with qualitative medical services, strengthening of social protection as well as for further improvement of social and living conditions of personnel of health protection sphere, the President of Turkmenistan has signed the Resolution.

President of Turkmenistan, Chairman of the People’s Council Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Resolution on approval the main directions of social and economic development of Turkmenistan in 2021.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held video conference session of the Cabinet of Ministers where members of the State Security Council, heads of the regions and Ashgabat have been invited.

President, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the country Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has signed the Orders on pardoning convicted persons, according to which 812 citizens of our country and 3 foreign citizens have been released from the further imprisonment as the main sentence and from additional sentence in the form of obligation of living in certain place. The amnesty has been timed to the 29th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence.
