President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held video conference session of the Cabinet of Ministers where members of the State Security Council, heads of the regions and Ashgabat have been invited.

President, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the country Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has signed the Orders on pardoning convicted persons, according to which 812 citizens of our country and 3 foreign citizens have been released from the further imprisonment as the main sentence and from additional sentence in the form of obligation of living in certain place. The amnesty has been timed to the 29th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has signed the Decree on moving of the day off, which falls on the Independence Day, according to which it is ordered in accordance with part 2 of the Article 81 of the Labour Code of Turkmenistan:

The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan held Turkmen-Uzbek political consultations in the videoconference format. Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Abdulaziz Kamilov discussed the status of the interstate dialogue and put forward a number of proposals for its development.

In accordance with the Resolution of the President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Minister of Internal Affairs Mammethan Chakyev was severely reprimanded for improper performance of official duties and shortcomings in his work.

Video conference session with participation of representatives of Türkmendemirýollary Agency and Railroad department of the Ministry of Transport of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has been held.

Meeting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Russian Federation Batyr Niyazliyev with Governor of Astrakhan Region Igor Babushkin was held on September 18.
