Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Gulshat Mammedova spoke at the high-level meeting of general debates of the 139th IPU Assembly “Role of Parliament in Supporting of Peace and development in the Epoch of Innovations and Technological Progress”. It was mentioned in the report that Turkmenistan has created firm legislation base supporting scientific and technical progress and wide implementation of innovations as well as provides stable growth in all spheres, financial stability, timely response to external threats and changes of the world economic conditions.

Working visit of Turkmenistan delegation to the Republic of Azerbaijan was held on October 18. Vice-premier, Head of the foreign Ministry R. Meredov reported on the outcomes of the visit at the session of the Government on October 19.

At the session of the Government on October 19, the Head of the State highlighted the subjects of national education system. Professional education has always been one of the factors of economic power of the states. Today, it has meet the requirements of labour market, the President said, having noted the importance to consolidate the efforts of the state, employers and educational institutes and to direct them to the realization of social and economic strategy of Turkmenistan.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held regular session of the Cabinet of Ministers where topical issues of the state policy have been reviewed. Leaders of number of the ministries and departments, directors of high educational institutes have been invited to the session.

The central building of oil and gas complex of the country hosts the sixth session of Turkmen – Saudi Intergovernmental Commission for trade and economic cooperation where regular objectives for intensification of bilateral business partnership have been reviewed.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Minister of Trade and Investments of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Majid Bin Abdullah Al Kasabi who arrived in the capital as the head of interstate delegation for participation in the work of the sixth session of Intergovernmental Turkmen – Saudi Commission on trade and economic cooperation.

In the morning, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the opening ceremony of polymeric plant in Kyanly settlement, which would be the largest petrochemical facility in the region for polyethylene and polypropylene production.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov attended the opening ceremony of the Kiyanly Polymer Plant whose commissioning created approximately 1000 jobs, and then launched the autumn tree planting campaign by planting the first tree beside the territory of the new gas chemical complex.

While at the gas chemical complex, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a meeting with Chairman of the Board of Directors of Çalik Holding Ahmet Çalik.

The certificates, proving the efficiency, innovativeness and ecological compatibility of the new production, were awarded to the polymer complex in Kiyanly during the opening ceremony.
