President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani arrived in Turkmenistan on the official visit.

The ceremony of signing the bilateral documents took place upon the completion of the Turkmen-Iranian talks.

Speaking to the press after bilateral documents signing ceremony, President Hassan Rouhani noted the constructive character of the talks in Ashgabat.

Cooperation in the transport sphere and the implementation of transit potential of the two countries occupy an important place on the agenda of the Turkmen-Iranian talks.

During the top-level talks in Ashgabat, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani noted that the both countries possessed one of the richest reserves of oil and natural gas in the world. The countries are the largest oil and gas producers on the global scale.

Upon completion of the one-on-one meeting between the President of Turkmenistan and the President of Iran, the members of the official delegations of the two countries joined the talks.

The President of Turkmenistan and the President of Iran held the one-on-one talks in the Ruhyet Palace in Ashgabat. Thanking the distinguished guest for the accepted invitation to visit Turkmenistan, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that our country considered this top-level meeting as another important step towards widening the fruitful Turkmen-Iranian cooperation that successfully develops in the bilateral and multilateral formats.

The Central Committee for Elections and Referendums in Turkmenistan conducted the briefing announcing initial results of the elections of the Mejlis deputies, members of the People’s councils and gengeshys.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov hold regular video conference session with the participation of the hyakims of the velayats and Ashgabat where the issues of social and economic development and the situation in agricultural branch of the regions have been discussed.
