President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent deep condolences to President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mamnun Hussein and Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shahid Hakan Abbasi concerning the terrorist attack in military division of Swat Region that caused numerous human injuries and deaths.

The Turkmen-Chinese forum on cooperation in the sphere of tourism took place in Beijing on February 2. The forum was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the People’s Republic of China jointly with the State Committee for Tourism of Turkmenistan and ShuangSun and Beychen Chinese Companies.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held regular session of the Cabinet of Ministers where outcomes of work for January were summed up, actual issues of domestic policy of the State were discussed as well as the draft of certain documents were reviewed.

Summarizing the information at the meeting of the Government on the forum of the Board of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (IFAS), President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of the Turkmen initiatives on environmental and water-energy issues.

By the Resolution of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, for improper exercise of functions of the office and weakened control over the activity of supervised ministries and agencies, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Amangeldiyev, Dadebay Saparovich, was severely reprimanded and issued the ultimate warning to remedy the shortcomings in the short term.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov ending up his working trip to Balkan Velayat held working session with the participation of number of Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, leaders of military and law enforcement agencies, some branch departments and the Hyakim of seaside region in Turkmenbashy International Airport. Priority objectives, which solution would give new acceleration to social and economic development of western region where large-scale projects are realized these days, were reviewed during the session.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent the warm congratulations and best wishes to Mr. Sauli Väinämö Niinistö for his re-election as the President of the Republic of Finland.

The delegations of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan held a working meeting in Turkmenbashi. The meeting agenda focused on the important areas of cooperation in core industries.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov who is currently on working visit in Balkan Velayat received Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elmar Magerram Ogly Mamedyarov who arrived in Turkmenbashy as the Head of representative delegation of his country as well as Vice-President, Investment and Marketing, State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Elshad Nasirov.
