President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held offsite session of the State Security Council where the outcomes of work of military and law enforcement agencies for 11 months of the year were summed up and the objectives for near future were outlined.

In accordance with the Decree of President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forcesof Turkmenistan, General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, 1st lawyer Ataev Rahim Hekimovich, who was relieved from the post of the public prosecutor of Berkararlyk Etrap in Ashgabat, was appointed the Mary Velayat public prosecutor.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held regular video conference session with the participation of the heads of number of ministries and departments, hyakims of velayats and Ashgabat. Priority matters of social and economic development of the country including the issues of the realization of national reform programmes, preparation to coming remarkable dates as well as other important subjects of the state life have been reviewed during the session.

During video conference session on December 4, State Minister, Chairman of the State Concern Turkmangaz M. Archayev informed the Head of the State on big debt for supply of Turkmen gas to Iran according to bilateral agreements and the contract with National Gas Company of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The next session of the Central Committee for Elections and Referenda in Turkmenistan, devoted to issues of preparation for forthcoming elections of deputies of the Mejlis of the sixth convocation, members of velayat, etrap and city khalk maslahaty of the fourth convocation, members of geneshes of the eighth convocation took place. Members of the Central Electoral Committee, representatives of working groups of the Committee, national observers, high ranking officers of political parties and public associations and also mass-media of the country took part in it.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held regular session of the Cabinet of Ministers where topical issues of the state life were discussed.

On 4-5 December of the current year, Vice Premier, Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov will attend the Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Caspian Littoral States in Moscow. The report on preparations for this meeting has been presented at the session of the Government of Turkmenistan.

By the Resolution of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Bahargul Abdiyeva was released from the position of the Deputy Minister of Culture due to the transfer to another work.

According to the Resolution of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Myrat Archayev was appointed as the State Minister of Turkmenistan – the Chairman of the State Concern Turkmengaz. Previously, he occupied the post of the Deputy State Minister – the Chairman of the State Concern Turkmengaz.

President of the International Weightlifting Federation, Honorary Member of the International Olympic Committee Tamas Ajan congratulated President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the choice of Ashgabat as the venue for the World Weightlifting Championship in November 2018.
