President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who arrived in Balkan Velayat on a working visit, received Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Çalyk Holding group of companies Ahmet Çalyk. Expressing gratitude for the opportunity of a personal meeting, the businessman emphasized that the great honour for his company to work our country that demonstrates the steady progress in its development. It was noted that businessmen in Turkey expressed the keen interest in enhancing the longstanding efficient cooperation with Turkmenistan and taking part in the implementation of the ambitious reformatory programmes launched in the country. Stating the fruitful, traditionally friendly character of the Turkmen-Turkish relation, embodied in the large-scale joint projects and underlining that our country is always open for the equal mutually beneficial cooperation with foreign partners, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed satisfaction with the work of the Turkish Holding on the Turkmen market. According to the Turkmen leader, implementing the long-term economic strategy, Turkmenistan is aimed at establishing the modern diversified industrial and other necessary infrastructure and the active introduction of the advanced technologies that open up wide opportunities for the efficient collaboration with leading foreign companies. During the meeting, the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Çalyk Holding informed the Turkmen leader on the progress of works. Among them are the construction of the International sea port in Turkmenbashi that is to become an important transit, transport and logistics hub of the regional and interregional significance, as well as the carbamide production plant in the city of Garabogaz and the combined cycle electric generating plant on the territory of the Mary hydro-electric power station. It was noted that neutral Turkmenistan under the guidance of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov takes the efficient steps to revive the Great Silk Road – the legendary ancient route, to the history of which and the Turkmen people’s role in its formation and active operation the President of Turkmenistan dedicated his book. In this regard, the guest reaffirmed the aspiration of his company to further strengthen its positions at the promising Turkmen market, the business attractiveness of which is stipulated by the existing versatile potential, favourable investment climate and the complex social and economic reforms implemented in Turkmenistan. In particular, the businessman expressed the keen interest in taking part in the implementation of such important project as the construction of the 500 kV power transmission lines along the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India transnational gas pipeline. Thanking President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the opportunity to discuss the priority issues and important areas of cooperation during a personal meeting, the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Çalyk Holding group of companies underlined that the Turkish holding highly appreciated the given faith and would take the most responsible approach to the fulfillment of the partner obligations.
