The Executive Committee of the Fund has been founded in Turkmenistan that will be chairing the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (IFAS) in 2017–2019. The relevant Decision has been signed on Friday by the President of IFAS, President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, at the Government session.

In Ashgabat, the third session of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Hungarian commission for economic cooperation was held at the Ministry of Economy and Development. The delegation has arrived led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Istvan Mykola. From the Turkmen side, heads and representatives of departments took part in the meeting.
