Together with international community, Turkmenistan widely celebrated the World Health Day. Mass cycling race as well as numerous other sport activities involving the whole country and uniting thousands of people around the idea of healthy life style were timed to this date.

World Health Day, as a triumph of principles of friendship and peace, sports and humanism, occupies a special place in the national calendar symbolizing unity and cohesion of our society. Public physical and sports activities, recreational and cultural campaigns globally depict our independent country as the nation of health and inspiration, states the address by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

At the session of the Government, Chairperson of the Mejlis Gulshat Mammedova informed on the formation of structure and activity of National Parliament.

In Turkmenistan, first meetings of newly elected members of the velayat, etrap, city Halk maslahaty and the Gengesh are held everywhere. Chairmen and deputy chairmen of the Halk maslahaty, archins and secretaries of the Gengeshes are elected at them.

A mass bike ride will open the program of events dedicated to World Health Day in Ashgabat. Starting from the crossroad of the capital's avenues Kopetdag and Chandybil, it will continue along the main city highways. The length of its route will be 15 thousand meters; 5 thousand people will participate in the action.

Following the standing rule to find time in his busy schedule for sports, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov together with the heads of military and law enforcement agencies and Ashgabat Khyakim ascended the Path of Health.

Large-scale work is carried out in Turkmenistan for health protection of people. The outcomes of 2017 indicate steadfast development of national system of health protection, which entered the level of the world standards.

After offsite session of the State Security Council, on behalf of the heads of military and law enforcement agencies, Defence Minister Ya. Berdiyev presented sport bicycle to the President of Turkmenistan on occasion of the World health Day.

The capital held unscheduled VIII assembly of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan where key objectives of the one of the leading political organization of the country have been discussed.

New living estate is to be built in the southern part of Gurbansoltan-eje Avenue on the territory of 27.2 hectares. According to the project, 30 four-storey 24-apartment buildings for 480 families, the kindergarten for 160 kids, the school for 720 children, two multi-level car parking and seven shopping centres will be built there. The project is planned to be completed within 5 years.
