The Central Officers’ Club of the Ministry of Defense hosted a ceremony where state awards were conferred on defenders of Motherland and publication of “The Doctrine of Arkadag – a Basis of Health and Inspiration”, a new book dedicated to the multifaceted work of the head of state, was celebrated.

The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution, having assigned to hold Caspian Sea: Sustainable Development and Management seminar with the participation of related departments of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan Republic, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation in cooperation with the International Oceans Institute and the State Agency for Caspian Sea Affairs under the President of Turkmenistan in Avaza National tourist zone on March 5 – 16, 2018.

In Turkmenistan, the most important stage of the preparatory work was completed, which was deployed everywhere in connection with March 25 elections of the deputies of the Mejlis, members of the Khalk Maslakhaty and Gengeshes.

International Airport was opened with the participation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Turkmenabat, the administration centre of Lebap Velayat.

On the eve of the historic event - the Ceremony of laying the Afghan section of the transnational gas pipeline Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India - a collection of numismatic rarities issued by the Central Bank of the country was supplemented with a set of commemorative gold and silver coins with a face value of 100 manat. Numismatic novelties were made by the old partner of our country - Great Britain Mint ""Royal Mint"".

Turkmenistan continues to actively prepare for the Mejlis deputies’, the Khalk Maslakhaty and Gengeshy members’ elections, upcoming on March 25. Nowadays the registration and nomination of candidates are proceeding.

Regular issue of Construction and Architecture magazine presenting new projects and tendencies of national urban construction and highlighting professional subjects of project planning, engineering and construction technologies, seismic safety of the facilities and landscape design has been released.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan to develop the new state programme “Digital Turkmenistan” aimed at promoting the development of the information and communication technology and increasing the contribution of this sector into the GDP of the country, as well as reducing the ‘digital difference’ in the people’s everyday life in the regions, cities and villages.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the Ahalteke Equestrian Complex and devoted his time to the issues of development of national horse-breeding, promotion of mass sports and preparation for the upcoming major sporting events.
