Turkmenistan broadly celebrates 10 days countdown until the beginning of V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.

Preparation for the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (AIMAG) is a crucial part of our country’s life. AIMAG is going to become the large-scale event not only for Turkmenistan, but also for the whole Central Asian Region and will gather tens of thousands of spectators and participants.

Employees of central and regional mass media, as well as freelance writers from all corners of the country - oil workers, gas specialists, teachers, students, etc., took part in the creative review devoted to the 5th Asian indoor and martial arts games. 50 works were selected for publication - articles, photo reports and poems, highlighting such important aspects as the development of a mass sports and health movement and sports of higher achievements in our country, the establishment of the principles of a healthy lifestyle.

The Academy of State Administration under the President of Turkmenistan has hosted a working meeting as part of the joint project with the United Nations Development Program. The meeting, attended by United Nations Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan Mrs. Elena Panova, focused on prospects of partnership in strengthening the state administration system, training state officials and employing innovative methods in the national curriculum.

Turkmenistan started celebration of Gurban Bayram which will be marked for three days all over the country. According to tradition, on the first day, early in the morning in all mosques of the capital and regions a festive prayer - Bayram namaz is read.

Opening ceremony of new high education institution – the Institute of Municipal Service, took place in Ashgabat on the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth.

The first bell has sounded, announcing the beginning of a new 2017-2018 school year in all educational institutions of the country. The state creates all conditions for young Turkmen citizens that they could receive excellent education and upbringing, to serve their native country with dignity.

Education is the foundation of the progress of society and country, - the message of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov says on occasion of the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth. Improvement of educational sphere is the priority of the state policy. New modern secondary, professional and high educational institutions, kindergartens, health-improving and entertainment centres are built, equipment and facilities base of educational system is improved.

Schoolchildren and students in Ashgabat will go on unscheduled holidays during the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. The relevant Order was issued by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov at a Cabinet session.

The Central Officers’ Club hosted an awarding of the poetry contest winners, which was organized by the “Milli goşun” magazine of the Ministry of Defense of Turkmenistan. For the first time, the creative contest was held in the online format, net surfers could participate it, and an online voting determined winners.
