In Ashgabat, celebratory events were held on the occasion of the International Women’s Day with the participation of the leaders of the Mejlis, ministries and sectoral departments, and public organizations. In their framework, the ceremonies were organized to honor mothers who gave birth and brought up eight or more children, were awarded the honorary title “Ene Myahri” according to the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, as well as to hand the keys to new comfortable flats to large families.

The illustrated edition “Turkmenistan Constructs Bridges to the Future – Bridges of Friendship and Progress” was published before the opening of Turkmenabat-Farab road and rail bridges, built across the Amudarya in Lebap velayat, where it is developing a major industrial center with extensive transport network.

The international seminar «The Caspian sea - a sustainable development and management», organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and state agency for Caspian issues at the President of Turkmenistan together with the International Oceans Institute started its work in the national tourist zone ""Avaza"".
