Turkmenistan celebrates the World Bicycle Day, declared by the Resolution of the United Nations General Assembly on the initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. This is a vivid evidence of the high appreciation and recognition of the success of the efforts taken by the President of Turkmenistan in the development of sports and health-improving movement, the establishment of the ecological world outlook in society as the basis for sustainable development at the national level and in the global dimension.

Turkmenistan marked International Children Day, to which many bright events organized all over the country have been timed. Congratulating countrymen on this wonderful holiday, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that children, which we are proud of and love, is a generation, which is to improve the authority of the country in the world arena”.

“I congratulate you on the International Children's Day! Children, whom we are so proud and love - this generation is to increase the country's authority in the international arena. This year, held under the motto “Turkmenistan - the Motherland of Prosperity”, we widely celebrate the International Children's Day as a holiday testifying to our adherence to the basic principles of the United Nations regarding the rights and interests of children, the care for the younger generation”, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed to his compatriots.

President of Turkmenistan has given Agzachar Sadaqah (at his own expense - from his author’s remunerations for his books) at the Gurbanguly Hajji Mosque in the city of Mary on the occasion of Gadyr Gijesi. Among those attending the event were the Mufti of Turkmenistan, imams of velayats and the city of Ashgabat, honorary elders, and residents of the region.

“I congratulate you on blessed Gadyr gijesi! I am sure that the holy night of the month of Oraza will further strengthen our unity, mutual respect, mercy, will inspire us to achieve new lofty goals”, said President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in his address.

At the session of the Cabinet of Ministers on May 10, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Resolution on the State Budget of Turkmenistan for 2020 and addressing the members of the Government, pointed out the necessity of thorough elaboration of all sections of the main financial document especially the enhancement of its social direction, in particular, having focused on the increment of financing of educational and health protection spheres.

The capital held International exhibition Turkmen Carpet: The World Decoration and XIX Conference of the World Turkmen Carpet Connoisseurs Association. The Ministry of textile Industry and Trade and Industrial Chamber were the hosts of big profile review.

International Conference timed to the Day of Science will be held on June 12- 13. Famous scientists from European, Asian and CIS countries will come to Ashgabat to participate in the forum.

It is the tenth anniversary of the foundation of International Ahalteke Equestrian Association in 2020. In this context, the President of Turkmenistan informed at the session of the Government on May 24 that he thinks it is reasonable to hold next anniversary session of the Association in Lebap Velayat.

The opening ceremony of two new four-storey buildings, which supplemented architectural ensemble along Zelili Street, was held in administrative centre of Lebap Velayat.
