Ashgabat hosted the meeting of clergymen with participation of religious personnel and honoured elders from the velayats and the capital. Participants of the meeting expressed the gratitude to the Head of the State for the conditions for making haj ritual, which is one of the main pillars of Islam. Organizational issues have also been reviewed. In particular, following the tradition of rotation, the decision on transfer of Senior Imam of Lebap Velayat to the position of the Mufti of Turkmenistan has been presented. Senior Imam of Ahal Velayat was transferred to the post of the Senior Imam of Lebap Velayat. Senior Imam of Gyoktepe etrap T. Jemshidov was transferred to the position of the Senior Imam of Ahal Velayat. In the end of the session, the participants of the session assured that they would work hard for the sake of the country and take part in education of younger generation according to spiritual values and traditions of Turkmen nation.
