According to preliminary results released by the Central Election Commission, over 73,66% of the voters cast their votes by 3pm.

The elections for the national parliament, the Halk Maslakhaty and the Gengesh take place in Turkmenistan.

At the session of the Government on March 29, Vice-premier G. Myradov informed the Head of the State about the work of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population for supplementation of official website of this organization with employment link. It was informed that the proposal has been developed according to the request of the Head of Turkmenistan and objectives following from the Concept of development of digital economy of the country in 2019 – 2025.

The President of Turkmenistan visited the Motor Sports centre of the Ministry of Interior where he arrived by new sport car. In the centre, the Head of the state was met by the Speaker of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of military and law enforcement agencies.

Nationwide tree planting campaign was held in the country on March 21. As per tradition, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov personally gave start to another phase of national tree planting programme, having taken part in tree planting in Nowruz Valley.

Traditionally, grandiose folk and ethnographic show at Nowruz ýaýlasy place with the building of Türkmeniň ak öýi in the shape of huge tent was the most crowded celebration events. It gathered the guests and participants of the celebration to honour the spring and nature awakening, which symbolize peace, harmony of the people, good neighbourliness and friendship.

Turkmenistan has met International Nowruz Day, National Spring Holiday, which main events were expanded in Nowruz Valley in Ahal Velayat where the building in the shape of huge tent Türkmeniň ak öýi has been built. Another stage of large-scale tree planting campaign was started there with the participation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

According to Electoral Code, early voting in the elections of deputies of National Parliament, members of the People’s Councils and gengeshys starts in certain electoral districts in Turkmenistan on March 21.

The city of Turkmenabat has hosted a ceremony of opening two 4-story apartment buildings (for 24 families each), located at the intersection of Bitarap Turkmenistan and Ashgabat Streets.

The Embassy of Turkmenistan to the PRC made the presentation of the first Caspian economic forum, the Concept of the chairing of Turkmenistan in the CIS and the IFAS as well as the event on occasion of International Nowruz Day in the China University of Petroleum Beijing on March 18. More than 300 people including professors and tutors, Chinese and Turkmen students as well as public and mass media representatives took part in the event organized with the support of the directorate of the University.
