On New Year’s Day, the “Döwletliler köşgi” Palace hosted a festive event, at which the children, who live and study in the Palace, were solemnly presented with New Year gifts on behalf of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov. Leaders of the national parliament, some ministries, the mass media, all the political parties of Turkmenistan, the local youth, women’s and other social organizations assembled to share the joy of the long-awaited holiday with the children. After the gift-giving ceremony, the young hosts of the Palace addressed their warmest words and wishes to the President of Turkmenistan, having expressed their boundless and sincere gratitude for the wonderful presents, his concern for the rising generation and his paternal attention given to all children in our country. The guests took part in the party ongoing by the festively decorated New Year tree and together with Ayaz Baba (Grandfather Frost), Garpamyk (Snow Maiden) and the heroes of fairy stories, sang and danced around the tree with the children. Along with the popular entertainers who came to the celebration and donated the proceeds from the concert, held on New Year’s Eve, to the “Döwletliler köşgi” Palace, the children demonstrated their talents by singing songs, dancing, and reciting poems about our glorious Homeland and beloved Arkadag. Each performance of the pupils was filled with the vital force of love and all-conquering power of kindness.
