International Burn Treatment Center to Be Built in Ashgabat

President of Turkmenistan signed a Resolution authorizing the Ministry of Healthcare and Medical Industry to sign a contract with Turkish company Gap İnşaat, Yatırım ve Dış Ticaret A.Ş. to design and build in Ashgabat the International Burn Treatment Center for 130 beds; provide modern medical technology, spare parts and consumables; train specialists and improve the surrounding territory. As indicated in the document, the project of the new medical center will be implemented with the purpose of enhancing the logistical and resource base of the country’s healthcare system; providing specialized help to the population in burn treatment, and continuing works to build modern healthcare facilities equipped with advanced medical technology. The document prescribes to begin construction works in March 2018 and commission the International Burn Treatment Center fully ready for operation in March 2020.
