Last week, the Turkmen capital hosted a regular meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Croatian Commission for Economic Cooperation. Among those attending the meeting were heads and representatives of a number of state agencies of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Croatia. In the course of the meeting, consideration was given to the issues of implementing the agreements reached earlier. A detailed exchange of views was held on the key aspects of bilateral cooperation and prospects for its expansion. Having emphasized the by-now intensification of the Turkmen-Croatian dialogue in a number of key directions, the meeting participants stressed the importance of enhancing the Intergovernmental Commission’s work to develop mutually beneficial investment projects and advance cooperation in the trade-economic sphere, the fuel and energy sector, transport, communications, and etc. The issues of humanitarian partnership were a special theme for the discussion. In this regard, the parties put forward a proposal for promoting the cultural, scientific and educational relations, as an important component of the interstate relations. Tourism and sport were outlined among the prospective areas for cooperation. In the frames of the exchange of views, the attendees expressed confidence that the meeting would advance further development of the full-scale partnership in all directions between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Croatia.
