A forum, devoted to the 10th anniversary of the Manager Training Program in Turkmenistan, has taken place in a conference hall of the capital’s Ýyldyz Hotel. The Program has been co-implemented by the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy of Germany and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ). Seminars and training workshops were organized as part of the event. Among those attending the forum were representatives of ministries and agencies of Turkmenistan and Germany, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, the Embassy of the Federative Republic of Germany, international organizations, local producers, and others. Aimed to promote the Turkmen-German trade-economic relations, the Manager Training Program allows scores of senior officials of state agencies and businessmen to improve their professional skills in line with international standards, and enhance the experience of cooperation between German and Turkmen private enterprises. During interactive practice-oriented seminars, participants learn about German business practice, business management and negotiating techniques. The event participants noted that rapid industrialization of Turkmenistan’s economy involves the diversification of the national economy and building of highly-competitive production facilities and new technology-intensive industries. This creates demand for qualified and competent specialists with both theoretical and practical skills. In this context, over the past ten years, the joint Turkmen-German project has proved its success and efficiency in strengthening cooperation between the two friendly countries’ state-owned and private businesses. As part of the forum program, the participants will also visit enterprises that boast positive experience of cooperation with German partners.
