President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov organized a special meeting of the Government to discuss the preparations for the important sports events to be held in the country - the “Amul-Hazar 2018” international motor rally, the 2018 Weightlifting World Championship and the events scheduled for June 3 that the United Nations Organization declared as the World Bicycle Day on the initiative of Turkmenistan. During the meeting that brought together the representatives of the international organizations, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, heads of ministries and departments, mass media among others, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Decree “On the celebration of the World Bicycle Day”. The Turkmen leader instructed the relevant officials to hold the events on the occasion of this date at the high organizational level. In particular, it is planned to organize bike rides and bike-a-thons in all regions of the country. The President of Turkmenistan expressed a wish to take part in the events. The preparatory works for the “Amul-Hazar 2018” international motor rally and 2018 Weightlifting World Championship were discussed during the meeting.
