I wish you strong health, family prosperity and great successes in your noble activity for successful realization of the state ecological policy, support of clean environment, the message of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to compatriots says. Our ancestors have formed original traditions of careful and harmonic attitude to the nature. These centuries-old humane principles, which well-settled in life and national traditions, are filled with new content this days developing in accordance with fundamental measures aimed at the search of optimum solutions of modern global challenges. The main role of the state ecological policy of the country is to provide environmentally favourable conditions of life of Turkmen people, rational use and protection of natural resources for future generations, expansion of regional and international cooperation in this sphere. All our state programmes are based on the improvement of the wealth of the nations, which cannot be solved without the protection of the harmony with the environment. At present, large-scale work for the provision of ecological prosperity, successful achievements of the goals outlined in Turkmenistan National Strategy for climate change and National forest programme, improvement of flora and fauna, natural protection is carried out in the country. legislation base of this sphere is steadily improved. Regular organization of international conferences on ecological and environmental issues is also a visual evidence of successful realization of the state natural protection policy. In the context of environmental protection, Turkmenistan pursues constructive home and foreign policy for the interest of entire humankind. Support of the consolidation of international efforts in the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals is an important aspect of foreign course of our country, the message says. Having joined the number of the United Nations Conventions on Environment, our country takes serious approach to the solution of fundamental issues of the world community on sustainable development. Efficient cooperation is carried out with such competent international and regional structures as the UN Development Programme and the UN Environmental Programme, the World Ecology Fund, International Fund for Saving of Aral Sea, Central Asian Regional Ecology Centre, German International Cooperation Society where we make the initiatives aimed at the provision of ecological wealth. Turkmenistan made new proposals of regional and international importance on such subjects as environmental protection, rational use of water and energy resources and provision of food safety, reduction of the risk of natural disasters, solution of ecological issues of Aral Region by integrated approach, protection of environment wealth of Caspian Sea at the session of UN general Assembly, High-Level Conference on Sustainable Development and other international forums. Adoption of new international UN Agreement on Climate Change, Resolution on Cooperation between the United Nations and International Fund for Saving of Aral Sea, number of agreements between the heads of Caspian States, current chairing of Turkmenistan in the IFAS visually indicate the support of the initiatives made by our state on international level by the world community, the message of the President highlights.
