President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Cordially greeting each other, the leaders of the states expressed satisfaction with the opportunity to have one to one discussion on the priority issues of the state dialogue, strengthened with the indissoluble ties of friendship and good neighbourliness. Taking the opportunity, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev cordially congratulated the Turkmen colleague on his birthday, wishing him goods health, long life, prosperity and greater achievements in his versatile activity at the high state post. It was underlined that Uzbekistan paid significant attention to the development of the traditional cooperation with fraternal Turkmenistan that has reached remarkable achievements under the leadership of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Expressing gratitude for the kind words, the President of Turkmenistan noted that our country highly evaluated the relationships with the fraternal Republic of Uzbekistan, a close neighbor and long-term reliable partner. The Turkmen leader emphasized that the efficiency of the Turkmen-Uzbek cooperation at the modern stage was stipulated by the common interests and the firm political will to expand the cooperation on a wide range of areas. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev focused on the wide opportunities for the further enhancement of the mutually beneficial partnership, underlining its key spheres. In this regard, it was noted that the agreements achieved on the outcomes of the regular top-level meetings and talks allowed bringing the Turkmen-Uzbek cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres up to the qualitatively new level. It was noted that today the interstate partnership successfully developed, covering new spheres and bringing real results. The leaders of the two states exchanged their views on a number of important issues of the regional and global agenda of particular interests for the two countries and reaffirmed the willingness of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to strengthen the constructive dialogue in the framework of authoritative international organisations and structures in the name of the universal peace, security and progress.
