On the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan received credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Turkmenistan Mrs. Phantipha Iamsudha Ekarohit. On behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, the head of the national Parliament congratulated the Ambassador of Thailand on the appointment to the high diplomatic post and wished him every success in developing the friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries. Thanking for the kind words, the diplomat expressed the willingness to provide every possible assistance in strengthening the ties of friendship and developing the potential of bilateral cooperation. During the meeting, the diplomat was informed on the key principles of the socially oriented state policy of Turkmenistan that prioritizes the development of the wide international cooperation. The guest was familiarized with the projects, implemented in various spheres of the national economy and public life of our country on the initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. In particular, it was underlined the positiveness of the measures taken to popularize the healthy life style, sports and tourism among the population. Mrs. Phantipha Iamsudha Ekarohit got acquainted with the structure and work of the Mejlis. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Turkmenistan emphasized the interest of Thailand in widening cooperation with Turkmenistan and developing relations in a wide spectrum of areas that are of particular interest for the two countries. In conclusion of the meeting, the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Turkmenistan expressed the belief that the partnership between the two countries had all the prerequisites to bring the Turkmen-Thai partnership up to the new level. It was also underlined the willingness to develop the inter-parliamentary relations that stand as an important factor for strengthening the bilateral relation. * * * The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Turkmenistan was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan to discuss the issues of the interstate cooperation. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Turkmenistan will also have the meetings at the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, the Turkmengas State Concern and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.
