President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Vice-President of the International Automobile Federation (FIA), President of the Automobile and Touring Club of the UAE, one of the leading motor sport figures Mohammed ben Sulayem. Greeting the President of Turkmenistan, the guest expressed gratitude for the opportunity of a personal meeting and the chance to visit Turkmenistan during the International rally “Amul-Hazar 2018”. Congratulating the Turkmen leader on the triumph of the eco-cross country rally that brought together the sportsmen from many countries- more than 80 crews, Mohammed ben Sulayem reaffirmed the interest of FIA as well as other UAE partners in widening the fruitful cooperation with our country. Thanking for the kind words, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan was always open for constructive cooperation at the bilateral and multilateral level in the framework of the authoritative organizations and structures, including the International Automobile Federation. That is the main goal of the rally that run along the route of the Great Silk Road. Taking the steps to revive this historical route, our country implements its enormous potential in the transport and communications sphere as well as contributes to strengthening the international humanitarian, cultural and sports relations, where the International rally “Amul-Hazar 2018” plays an important role. Emphasizing the significant role of this project for the further development of the international motor sports, the guest underlined that the success in the preparations for and organization of this event was stipulated by the Turkmen leader’s particular concern and support. Special attention during the meeting was paid to the ecological aspect of the competitions that focused on the concept on СО2 emission abatement during the rally with the aim to preserve the nature. That is another evidence of Turkmenistan’s responsible approach to the nature protection tasks and provision of the international environmental safety. It was also underlined the humanitarian aspect of the rally that allowed many participants and guests getting acquainted with the rich historical and cultural heritage and beautiful nature of Turkmenistan, its modern achievements. The Turkmen leader and his guest exchanged their views on the prospects of cooperation. The President of Turkmenistan presented a set of commemorative coins, issued in honor of the International rally “Amul-Hazar 2018”, to the guest. Mohammed ben Sulayem thanks the Turkmen leader for the gift and expressed belief that the competitions would take a worthy place in the international sports calendar. In conclusion of the meeting, the Vice-President of the International Automobile Federation (FIA), President of the Automobile and Touring Club of the UAE wished the President of Turkmenistan new achievements in his noble activity.
