The solemn ceremony of opening the School Cultural and Sports Festival of the Caspian States took place in the Avaza National tourism zone. This event includes the competitions in six sports - belt wrestling, futsal, volleyball, 3x3 basketball, table tennis and chess. The festival will be held this week on the Caspian coast. The teams from Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, various regions of the Russian Federation - Dagestan, Kalmykia, the Astrakhan region, etc. will take part in the festival. More than 200 participants stay in the comfortable children's cultural and recreational center ""Daýanç"". In the framework of the sports competitions, young talents will also demonstrate their multi-faceted creative abilities. An interesting cultural program has been prepared for the guests to familiarize them with the history of Turkmenistan and its sights. The main events of the School Cultural and Sports Festival will be held in the Avaza sports complex. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed the young participants of the cultural and sports forum. Those speaking during the opening ceremony expressed satisfaction with the results of cooperation between the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs of Turkmenistan and the All-Russian School Sports Federation. Inspired by high confidence, young athletes participated in the volleyball, futsal, table tennis and chess competitions with great enthusiasm. Numerous spectators watched the competition and supported the athletes. Upon the completion of the sports program, the valuable prizes will be awarded to the winners, and souvenirs and certificates to all the participants. In addition, during the week, the guests will continue acquainting with the rich history and culture of Turkmenistan. As part of the School Cultural and Sports Festival on the Caspian coast, the VI International Artistic Festival of Gifted Children will be held. Children will demonstrate the musical and dancing talents, as well as present the culture and art of their countries and peoples during a grandiose gala concert on October 5.
