On November 6, 2018, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Turkey jointly with Kastamonu Turkish State University organized the scientific and practical conference “Turkmenistan is the heart of the Great Silk Road”, the presentation of the book by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Turkmenistan is the heart of the Great Silk Road” in the Turkish language, as well as the Days of Turkmenistan in Kastamonu, which was declared as the 2018 Cutural capital of the Turkic World. An exhibition that showcased the works by the President of Turkmenistan and various exhibits, telling about the culture and traditions of Turkmenistan, was organized in the framework of the events. The Turkmen students, getting higher education in the higher educational establishments in Turkey presented a concert programme. The guests and participants of the events were treated with the dishes of the Turkmen national cuisine. Governor of the Kastamonu Province of the Republic of Turkey Y. Karadeniz, Mayor of Kastamonu T. Babash, Rector of the Kastamonu Turkish State University S. Aydin, Rector of the International University of Humanitarian Affairs and Development E. Aydogdyev, Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture D. Kaseinov, the members Turkmen-Turkish Friendship Society, teachers and Turkmen students of universities, as well as journalists attended the forum. Those speaking during the scientific and practical conference emphasized the necessity to increase the efficiency of the international trasnport and logistcs system in compliance with Turkmenistan’s initiatives, to implement important energy projects and the foreign-policy strategy of thecountry, aimed at ensuring peace and security.
