Turkmen delegation discusses TAPI and TAP projects in Kabul

Delegation of Turkmenistan led by Vice-premier, Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov paid working visit to Afghanistan. In Kabul, the delegation of our country was received by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani who confirmed invariable commitment of Afghanistan to traditional interstate dialog. Discussion of the issues related to implementation of the projects of construction of TAPI gas line, Turkmenistan – Afghanistan – Pakistan power line (TAP) and railroad initiated by our country was held with the participation of the Leader of Afghanistan and Chief executive of neighbouring country Abdullah Abdullah. According to the previous agreements, the subjects related to the implementation humanitarian and economically beneficial projects have been reviewed. Turkmen – Afghan foreign department consultations took place during the visit, during which the sides exchanged the opinions on key directions of interstate cooperation. Session of the Joint Commission for cooperation in security has also been held and resulted in the signing of relative Protocol.
