The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted the meeting with French delegation, which arrived in Turkmen capital chaired by Director of Continental Europe Countries Department of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic Florence Mangin for bilateral political consultations. During the talks, the sides discussed the condition and future of interstate cooperation, which is successfully developed in bilateral and multilateral format including under Turkmenistan – European Union dialog. Fruitful character of cooperation of both countries under international organizations especially the UN and OSCE has been noted. Having highlighted high level of the relations, the sides stated the presence of favourable opportunities for further expansion and diversification of the partnership especially in trade and economic sphere, financial and banking section and other fields. In this aspect, business contacts between Turkmenistan and big French companies specialized in different spheres have been mentioned as visual example of successful cooperation. It was noted that important role in improvement and development of fruitful relations is given to Turkmen – French Interstate Commission for economic cooperation. Special attention was paid to the expansion of the dialog in educational, health protection and cultural spheres as well as the intensification of inter-Parliamentarian relations, which are important factor of improvement of friendship and understanding between two countries and nations. In addition, organizational issues of official visits on different levels and other joint activities in 2019 have been reviewed during the talks.
