On the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairperson of Mejlis of Turkmenistan Gulshat Mammedova received credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to Turkmenistan Qasim Mohamad Salim Al-Salhi. On behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, the head of the National Parliament congratulated the Ambassador on the appointment to the high diplomatic post and wished him success in developing friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries. Thanking for the kind wishes, the Ambassador expressed the willingness to enhance the potential of the bilateral cooperation. During the meeting, the Ambassador was informed on the key areas of the state social policy of Turkmenistan that prioritizes development of wide international cooperation. Qasim Mohamad Salim Al-Salhi got acquainted with the structure and versatile activity of the Mejlis. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to Turkmenistan emphasized the interest of his country in developing cooperation with Turkmenistan, including establishment of trade, business and cultural relations. In conclusion of the meeting, it was underlined the willingness to develop the inter-parliamentary relations that stand as an important factor for strengthening the bilateral relations.
