In frames of the working visit to Turkmenistan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The meeting agenda included the issues of the multilateral and regional partnership of the two countries in frames of the authoritative international organisations. The meeting participants exchanged views on a number of key areas of development of the Turkmen-Hungarian relations in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. During the meeting it was underlined the importance of a regular session of the joint Intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation and business forum of Turkmenistan in Hungary at the end of the current year. The water management issues in Central Asia as well as the situation in Afghanistan were also considered during the meeting. The ceremony of signing the Memorandum on Mutual Understanding in the sphere of sports between the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Human Capacities of Hungary took place upon the conclusion of the talks.
