President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, who arrived in Ashgabat to attend a meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of Government. Early in the morning, the President of Turkmenistan driving Volga GAZ-21 arrived at the residence of the high guest. Dmitry Medvedev cordially welcomed the Turkmen leader. After a brief conversation, the President of Turkmenistan and the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation headed to the Oguzhan Palace Complex. The President of Turkmenistan expressed confidence that the current visit of the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation to Ashgabat would offer new impetus to fruitful cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation and would allow defining future prospects and ways of developing cooperation in various fields. Expressing gratitude for the cordial welcome, the guest conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to the President of Turkmenistan. Addressing the greetings and best wishes to the President of the Russian Federation, the Turkmen leader expressed satisfaction with the high level of Turkmen-Russian relations. It was emphasized that Turkmenistan and Russia were bounded with long-standing, friendly relations. In the modern era, the interstate dialogue is dynamically developing both in a bilateral and multilateral format, within the framework of authoritative international organizations.
