On the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairperson of the Mejlis G. Mammedova received the credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Denmark to Turkmenistan, Carsten Sendergord. On behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, the Chairperson of the national parliament congratulated the Ambassador on the appointment to the high diplomatic post, wishing success in further strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries. Thanking for the kind wishes, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Denmark conveyed the best wishes from to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the people of Turkmenistan from the leadership of his country, who expressed the interest in intensifying the interstate dialogue with neutral Turkmenistan, which is confidently following the path of progress. During the meeting, the diplomat was acquainted with the main directions of domestic and foreign policy pursued by the President of Turkmenistan, the most important vector of which is constructive cooperation with foreign countries in achieving the global Sustainable Development Goals. The diplomat was informed on the structure and work of the Mejlis. The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark highly appreciated the prospects for the development of partnership in both bilateral and multilateral formats, including through inter-parliamentary relations, major international organizations and in the framework of the dynamically developing dialogue of Turkmenistan with the European Union countries. In this context, Mr. Carsten Sendergord assured the Chairperson of the Mejlis that he would apply every effort to further strengthen the traditionally good relations between Denmark and Turkmenistan that meets the interests of both countries and their friendly peoples.
