In accordance with the Decree of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Velbegov Silap Shamyradovich, who held the position of the Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy, was appointed as the Chairman of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Statistics. The previous Chairman of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Statistics, Gurbanov Halykdurdy Annadurdyyevich was dismissed from the post for the serious shortcomings in his work and the failure to perform his duties.
