Last week, 53 transactions were registered at the State Commodities and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan. The deals in the foreign currency were made by business people of Great Britain, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Afghanistan and other countries. They made contracts for purchasing aviation, burning and technical kerosene, motor gasoline of various grades, diesel fuel, base oil and total oil coke made at the Turkmenbashi Refinery Complex. Business people of Great Britain and Afghanistan also contracted the straight-run gasoline and diesel fuel (Seidi Oil Refinery); and representatives of business circles of China - technical iodine (SC “Turkmenhimiya”). In addition, handmade carpets, cottonseed oil, cotton yarn, ginned cotton and lint were sold for foreign currency. The country-buyers: Russia, Germany, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan. The sum total of the deals was some US $147 million. For deposit mantas, representatives of business circles of Pakistan purchased cottonseed oil and cotton yarn (over 3,190 thousand manat). Domestic entrepreneurs purchased ginned cotton waste (525 thousand manat).
