The Palace of Mukams hosted the gala-concert of the children’s creativity contest “Garaşsyzlygyň merjen dänеleri”. By tradition, the annual competition of the small vocalists of the country launches a series of festivities, dedicated to the 28th anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan. The winners of the qualification rounds in the regions of the country performed a concert on the stage of the Palace of Mukams. The programme of the gala-concert included the works that reflected the talents of competitors as well as the rich national musical culture. The names of the winners of the children's music competition were announced under the storm of applause. Special diplomas and memorable gifts – laptops were awarded to the winners, and prizes - to all participants in the final round.
