Khyakims of Ahal, Balkan, Lebap, Mary and Dashoguz Velayats reported to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the successful fulfillment of contractual obligations. Agricultural workers picked up over 1.050 million tons of ‘white gold’. Children – the young envoys, representing the regions of Turkmenistan congratulated the Turkmen leader on the labor victory achieved by agricultural workers of the country. Thanking the children for the congratulations, the President of Turkmenistan presented gifts to them and took a photo with them. Then the Chairperson of the Mejlis, the Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, the leaders of the military and law enforcement agencies of the country, the khyakims of the velayats and the city of Ashgabat congratulated the President of Turkmenistan on the labor victory achieved by cotton producers of our country. Addressing all those present, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that during the years of independence, agricultural sector as well as other sectors of economy, has developed significantly. The transformations carried out in this industry provide positive results. Peasant associations, tenants and private entrepreneurs are provided with the necessary equipment, fertilizers and seeds, and new jobs are created on sites. As a result, the competitiveness of the agro-industrial complex increases, which is clearly reflected in satisfying the demands of the local population in high-quality domestic food products. Underlining that one of the key aspects of the state policy is maintaining food abundance in the country, the President of Turkmenistan focused on the importance of import substitution and widening of the export opportunities of the country, further comprehensive development of poultry farming, animal husbandry, and increasing fruit and vegetable production. Among the relevant areas of future work, the President outlined the introduction of a digital electronic management system into the industry. Once again congratulating cotton growers and all agricultural workers on the labor victory and the Harvest Festival, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished them good health, family well-being, and new achievements.
